Ingrowing toenails can usually be dealt with simply but sometimes a small operation is needed to reshape or remove the nail, which we can carry out at the clinic.

Any foot problems such as corns, callous, verrucae, ingrowing toenails, fungal infections etc. can be treated & advice given on foot health care. Long term health problems such as arthritis or diabetes can cause many foot problems & we can help greatly with this. The standard appointment is 20 minutes but if your feet need that bit of extra attention then a longer appointment may be recommended by your clinician.
Verruca & Hand Wart Removal
Verrucae and warts on the hands are unsightly and can be very problematic to deal with but we use the latest Swift Microwave therapy techniques to cure them as quickly and painlessly as possible. Swift Microwave is the most effective method currently available to get rid of verrucas. We are proud to be one of the few clinics in the country to offer their revolutionary technique. For those people who are not suitable for Swift we also offer Verruca Needling and Low Level Laser therapy

This effective treatment is a good alternative to resolve those stubborn verrucas. At almost 70% effective it is an option for those busy people who don’t want repeated visits to the clinic. One treatment is needed under local anaesthetic, with a follow up review after 6-8 weeks to ensure that it has been effective. Occasionally a second session of needling may be needed.
As with all procedures under anaesthetic on the foot you will not be able to drive following the appointment for approximately 4-6 hours. You will have a dressing over the treated area which remains in place for 48 hours and the site will be slightly tender like a deep bruise for a few days.

This is an examination of the alignment of the bones within the foot and leg to identify any structural problems. Gait analysis is part of this examination to identify mechanical problems during motion. This is ideal for investigating the cause of sports injuries, heel pain (plantar fasciitis) over pronation, moretons neuroma etc. This may need correction with specialist insoles called orthotics which will be prescribed by your podiatrist. Surgery to correct ingrowing toenails or totally remove damaged / diseased nails is available. Our nail surgery package includes the minor surgery procedure under local anaesthetic, 2 free follow up checks and all the dressings needed for the procedure and while it is healing. As with all procedures under anaesthetic on the foot you will not be able to drive following the appointment for approximately 4-6 hours
LCN Wilde-Pedique is a highly effective toenail correction system, comprising an extremely elastic UV nail gel that adapts to the movements of the toe. Its unique adhesive properties mean that good results can be achieved, even on thick layers of skin where a toenail may be missing or on scaly nail surfaces. It can conceal ridges and deformations and hide discolouration. Depending on the texture of the nail it is covering the reconstructed nail can last for many weeks. The replacement nail can be left natural or can be overpainted with any nail polish. Nail varnish remover will not damage it.
